Hello friends:

New Portfolio coming out shortly
"The African King"

Welcome back to the official Frazetta web site. We hope you enjoyed your Halloween/Thanksgiving Holiday as much as we did. Once again Grandma threw her fantastic Halloween bash with a wide variety of games, toys and stories for the grandchildren to enjoy. The party started around noon and continued throughout the day and long into the evening. While grandpa and I took photos during the festivities with our digitally format cameras, we didn't have to be as particular with the snap shots we took. We just clicked away until we got a couple of good shots. Then we simply erased the others.

I have just received word that Cinimachine should be releasing the biography film about my father sometime in late January or February. This has been long anticipated and I'm sure it will be worth the wait. I have viewed trailers from the film with my father over the course of the year and each time it gets better. Initially, you are taken back by the powerful music and images brought together on the screen. Then next time you pick up on more subtle things and listen closer to the testimonials from other artists. I still enjoyed the day we all went into Sheepshead- Bay to relive the wide variety of facets in my father’s life growing up in the tough section of Brooklyn. Whether it was playing softball or riding the Cyclone in Coney Island, as Archie Bunker would say, "Those were the days." He lived a life style that few could ever imagine, bashing out his daily strips and Sunday pages in a day and a half, then playing ball when ever he wanted.

Fellow Artist sends Frank a gift

Frank’s health is stable. He is in good spirits since he is anticipating his new Christmas gift, the Nikon Coolpix 5700. What else!? I have been trying to persuade him for months to buy a less complex camera than the Dimage 7, which offers a huge array of options which are difficult for even the experienced camera buff like my father to understand. The dials are so small with buttons on 4 sides of the camera that are impossible to find unless you read the manual regularly. Remember, my father sits in his studio most of the day watching television, reading photography magazines, drawing and playing with all of his cameras and there is no doubt in my mind he enjoys learning about the cameras even more than taking the actual photos. Sometimes it takes both of us to figure out the cameras. So after about an hour of reading through the manual and exchanging thoughts we finally get the cameras working properly. Just before I leave to go home I reassure him everything is set to where they need be and not to touch any dials. The very next day I get a phone call at work asking me to come over and figure out what happened. You have got to love him, it is such an innocent mistake and his way of saying when are you coming over to visit me. He literally counts the days. I have been ill for a few weeks and just the other day when I walked into his studio the first thing out of his mouth was, "Where have you been, it’s been over 6 days!" Then if I have to leave after a brief visit he breaks my heart and says, "You’re leaving already?” I give him all the free time I have in between my 3 businesses and 2 sets of twins.

Frazetta Museum sees its first winter store of 2002

I have just posted a wide assortment of new original art for sale in the Gallery Store starting at $500. Many of these pieces have never been seen before so if you get a chance, take a look.

I am personally putting together a new portfolio of African drawings my father did over the course of many years that were given to my mother on different occasions including her birthday, mother’s day, ect…. Some of them were posted in the members section so there are a few lucky fans that have seen them. They are done in watercolor and pen and based on a young fictitious African tribesman whose inexperience in hunting and love got him in all kinds of trouble. They are undoubtedly some of the finest pieces my father has ever done and shows the more comical side of my fathers imagination. These will be available in limited quantities by Christmas.

Frank Jr's gift to Mom

We are in the process of finalizing a Death Dealer video game in 3d animation that will be available by 2005. This will be done by some of the finest 3d animators from Acclaim entertainment. It will take nearly 2 years with many of Frazetta’s other villains and creatures taking part in the action.

We are also releasing a new calendar for the year 2004. This should be available to the general public sometime late this summer. Our fans have been asking for Frazetta calendars for years and now we can make many of them happy.
The museum will be open through the Christmas holiday until the final Saturday in December. Anyone with questions may call me at 570-424-5833 during normal business hours.

Anyone ordering from the gallery store in the next few weeks be sure to press the appropriate shipping code so that you receive your order on time. We will do our best to get your orders out in one or two days.

The entire Frazetta family wishes everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

Yours truly, Frank Frazetta JR
