Welcome back fans,

With summer coming to a close, the extreme heat has kept Mr. Frazetta inside for most of the season. Occasionally he would walk over to his grandchildren’s homes for a brief visit and snap off a few photos with his digital camera. Since his first introduction to the new digital format last summer, he seldom takes out his 35mm cameras. With his own printers for processing the digital photos, he doesn’t have to spend hours mixing chemicals in the dark room. I had taken him to the local camera shop last week to compare the quality of the new Nikon d-100, 6.37 mega pixel camera to his Sony 707. Surprisingly enough, the final results were equal in quality. I am not sure if the naked eye can see the subtle differences between the two without enlarging them to 10ft across. Both my dad and I felt the new Nikon was a bit heavy, but before we left the store, I shelled out the big bucks for this camera. I just loved the way it focused. The speed was incredible, just turn and shoot and it was perfect.

If you missed last month's news, the Death Dealer steins have now come available. There are two editions, the standard and limited signed and numbered to 125. They are available in the gallery store.

Shortly, Mr. Frazetta may be starting to work on some preliminary sketches for a new Death Dealer video game. It is still in the early stages and may become a reality by 2004 or 2005. We are also working on a new calendar for 2004. This will be the first in over 10 years, but don't quote me on that. We will always post any new items on the site when they come available to us.

The booklets from the museum opening are on their way. The delay is due to an overlooked misspelling that required them to be reprinted. I gave the only copy available to my friend Dr. Dave. I know he has been taking some of the heat for me because some fans are questioning if these booklets are ever going to materialize. They don't want to call me directly and ask. I truly appreciate the patience of my Dad’s fans. Dave has more fans calling him than me, so I figured I'd put the burden on his shoulders for the time being. Thanks Dave. It won't be long. They will be shipped by the first week of October. So be on the look!

The Museum has very busy this season and the hours are still Saturdays only from 11-5pm. Groups and institutions can make special arrangements for visiting hours out of the normal schedule. You can call me at 570-424-5833 with any questions pertaining to the museum.

Now that I have a high-resolution digital camera, I have been working on a CD that will offer a few hundred of Mr. Frazettas best work from his marvelous oils to the original rough drafts for many of them. It will also include some screen saver art along with his best pencils, pen and inks and pages of rare and unseen artwork done from as far back as the 1940’s. It will be similar to the members section but with higher quality images. I’m hoping to have this available for the Christmas Holiday. There will be a limited supply at that time. If anyone is interested in reserving a copy, please feel free to email me at golf2000@ptd.net .

Once again, thank you for visiting with us.
