Hello fans and welcome back to the official Frazetta web site:
First, and foremost I would like to wish my father a happy 75th birthday. He looks great for his age and as always is in high spirits everyday he spends with the family. For some odd reason the last few years he seems to spend his Birthdays sick on the couch in his studio. I guess it is the combination of cabin fever and the flu virus during the cold spell of winter. Besides that, he is in good spirits and is anxiously awaiting the winter thaw with the baseball season just around the corner.
There is some wonderful news from Mrs. Frazetta pertaining to the museum for the New Year. She is now extending the museum hours for the 2003 season to Saturday and Sundays from 11am to 4 pm. The Museum will be reopening the first Saturday and Sunday after Easter, April 26th and 27th. Over the years fans have asked for other days to visit the museum, so the new extended hours is a thank you in appreciation for the fans continued support around the world. With the extended hours there is also a better chance that Mr. Frazetta will be on the premises to greet you. As always, if you have any questions feel free to call me at 570-424-5833.

Another note: I wanted to thank Ray Parkes for the wonderful photos he had graciously let me use in the booklet for the Museum Grand Opening. Without these photos the booklet would not be what it was. Anyone interested in a professional photographer please keep Ray in mind for any event in your future.

The 2004 Frazetta Calendar should come available on our site and in book stores by June. This is the first full color calendar in over 5 years. There is a minimum of 12 full color paintings with many pen and inks panels scattered throughout the calendar.
We are now working on a series on Zippo lighters with 6 color images of the most famous Frazetta oil paintings. We are also looking forward to doing a small limited run of just 100 Thunda lighters with each panel from the story hand numbered which will make these the most sought after collectables. Hopefully they will become available closer to Christmas Holiday.
Now that the snow has finally melted, I have taken dad out of the house a few times and to the local camera stores. We are in the process of buying a high end printer for our digital format cameras. Both dad and I have a good quality Epson printer but we are looking for the professional Sony that retails for around $5,000.00. The store in town has made some fabulous reproductions up to 24 inches that I had taken with my 6.1 mega pixel camera that are almost to sharp for our eyes to look at for any extended period of time. It is sharper than any 35mm camera reproduction that we have ever seen and believe me; dad has thousands of photos to compare them to.
It has been a long, long winter in the Northeast with heavy rains throughout the fall months then directly in to one of the longest winters that I can recall. I don’t recall a winter season that did not have at least one Indian summer week. It is amazing that dad and I never went stir crazy looking at the walls of the studio.
The Frazetta family is doing well and we are looking forward to the new season greeting our fans at the museum. With the extended hours on Sundays, hopefully I will personally meet many of the fans I have the pleasure of writing to on the internet.
One other note: I am working on a newly revised version of Death Dealer # 3 print. This was originally done in the 1980’s while Dad was battling thyroid disease and he was never satisfied with the final results. It was reworked some years ago and is now one of my favorites. If you are not familiar with the painting, the Warrior stands in the swamp in a mist of smoke and fire cradling his huge axe. Dad has reworked the entire figure along with adding more menacing fire and bones throughout the foreground. I plan on offering a smaller full color print, approx 11x14 transferred to canvas, matted and framed behind glass. Only 50 of these will ever be produced and each will be personally signed by Frank Frazetta. What makes this such special collectable is behind the framed glass each print will incorporate one of Franks original paint brushes that was actually used to paint one of the Death Dealer paintings. Never before has anything of this kind offered by the Frazetta Gallery to anyone including the immediate family or friends. I will be documenting and displaying the actual product in next months update and would appreciate any input from the fans about this edition. We have not valued this piece as yet but it should be available on the site by June of this year. Anyone interested in reserving this limited edition feel free to email me at
golf2000@ptd.net.
Only 45 will be for resale and the others will be going directly to the Frazetta family members and hung on the walls of the Frazetta Museum. Once again, I thank you for visiting with us and we all look forward to meeting you this season.
Sincerely, Frank Frazetta JR.
